That’s right tweeters, Beyoncé jumped on the 140 character bandwagon. And guess what? With only one tweet a mere seven hours ago, she already has well over 3 million followers! Although, we expect nothing less from the “Countdown” singer.

While she’s only promoted her website so far, we’re hoping for lots and lots of TwitPics or Instagram photos. Blue Ivy Carter, perhaps? Queen B did create a Tumblr for the first look at her baby girl, so it’s possible.

Miley Cyrus is actually the tweeter who tipped us off to the newest celebrity user. In a reply to Ellen DeGeneres—who tweeted “You guys - @Beyonce’s on Twitter. Everybody be cool”—Miley wrote, “1 tweet = 3.6 m followers. Hows that ‘be cool’ thing workin out for everybody haha so happy @beyonce is finally on twitter!”

So, who is B following in return? Her sister, Solange Knowles, of course, and Destiny’s Child band mate Kelly Rowland are among the select few.
