‘The Lying Game’s’ Blair Redford Responds to ‘Hate Tweets’ (@ABCFLyingGame @Blair_Redford)

Spoiler Alert:

Ethan began the series as Sutton’s (Alexandra Chando) boyfriend, before dumping her for her twin Emma (Chando).

In tonight’s episode (“No Country for Young Love”), Ethan and Sutton hooked up again! (They were hiding out from the cops on his father’s reservation, and she was having a rare moment of “honesty’).

Needless to say, Team Emma is not happy about tonight’s developments, and the fans have been flooding Blair’s Twitter account with “hate tweets. Even co-star Allie Gonino tweets,

“WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!! I am freaking out. Ethan Whitehorse needs to make up his damned mind! Not OK.”

Blair’s taking the comments in stride. He tweets,

“You guys are cracking me up with these “hate tweets”. I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Young Ethan was under a great deal of stress I tell you!”

Looks like the actor has a good sense of humor. He understands that these anti-Ethan tweets aren’t personal. People are mad at his character, not him!

What we’re wondering is: when is Thayer (Christian Alexander) going to get some love? Ethan’s got gorgeous twins fighting over him while Thayer’s stuck being sloppy seconds.

ABC Family insiders have the scoop on next Monday’s episodes (1/30/12) of “Pretty Little Liars” and “The Lying Game.”

On “PLL” Hanna’s friends are going behind her back with Caleb while Hanna’s preoccupied with her mean stepsister. Meanwhile, Aria and Holden are staging a relationship as a cover for their secrets.

On “Lying Game,” Rebecca and Annie seem to have a past that nobody knows about. Meanwhile, Sutton’s attacker is still out there.

“PLL” fans are busy trying to figure out who “A” is. Meanwhile, most “Lying Game” fans are Team Emma. (Does Team Sutton have anyone?)

Catch the next episode of “Pretty Little Liars” Monday 8pm ET/PT, followed by “The Lying Game” at 9pm ET/PT on ABC Family.

‘Lying Game’ Actor Blair Redford Vows To Be First Two-Time Hump Day Hottie

When I visited the set of ABC Family’s “The Lying Game” recently, I tucked something very special into my carry-on for star Blair Redford. No, it wasn’t my undying love. No, what I brought the actor was something—dare I say?—even better: the first-ever Hump Day Hottie certificate.

As you’ll recall, we named the 28-year-old our Hump Day Hottie a few months back, but never in the annals of Hump Day Hottie history have we presented an honoree with a tangible recognition of his award. Well, no more. Blair not only graciously accepted the certificate I lovingly crafted in Photoshop but vowed to be our first-ever two-time HDH.

“I need to frame this,” he said. “This is great. You know, we talked about, I want to try to be the first person in history to receive the honor twice.”

When I pointed out what a huge feat that would be, Blair assured me he’s been training. “I’m doing all kinds of stuff,” he said. “I’m working on my brooding looks. I’m working on the smoldering stare. I put on a sweatband and train three hours a day with both of those. I’m getting both of those down. I think it’s going to help me.”

We think it will too, Blair. Would it be against our journalistic integrity to say we’d even (maybe) accept a bribe in the form of a ride on the back of your motorcycle?

The mid-season finale of “The Lying Game” airs tonight on ABC Family!

Blair Redford Teases Tonight’s ‘Lying Game’: ‘We’re Headed 100 MPH Toward A Love Triangle’

Blair RedfordEveryone loves a bad boy. Except, well, one bad boy himself: Blair Redford. Or rather, actor Blair Redford, who plays a bad boy on ABC Family’s addictive new treat “The Lying Game.”

When we spoke with the 28-year-old in anticipation of tonight’s brand new episode, we couldn’t help but ask how the tall, dark, handsome actor continually lands troublemaker roles. “I don’t know what it is,” he said with a laugh. “All I want to do is just be the funny guy… The industry has spoken.”

Not that Blair’s complaining too much. In fact, he can sort of relate to his wrong-side-of-the-tracks characters. “I mean, there’s parts of my personality that go with that. So I understand that. I don’t mind it. It’s fun to play.”

And fun to watch! In case you haven’t yet dived head first into “The Lying Game,” a quick primer: The series follows split-at-birth twins Emma and Sutton (played by Alexandra Chando), who reunite and end up switching lives. Sutton flees to L.A. to research their birth parents while Emma takes over her privileged life in Phoenix—along with all of its baggage, including secret boyfriend Ethan (played by Blair). Sounds complicated, right? Well, things get even more complicated tonight.

“There’s a lot that happens,” Blair said. “Emma asks Ethan if he will come to dinner, like a family dinner at the Mercer household because, as the audience will remember from last week, they were caught sneaking around in her bedroom in the end of the last episode. So she tries to sort of make amends with her parents by letting them get to know Ethan. He’s obviously not the kind of guy that likes to do family dinners, but they will discuss that, and he ends up agreeing to it. That was a fun scene to shoot.”

And if dinner at the parents’ house sounds like a date, well, that may be on purpose. Blair made it clear that things are going to get complicated with him and Emma. “It sort of becomes even more clear in episode three that Ethan is developing feelings for Emma and vice-versa, so we’re going 100 miles per hour straight towards a love triangle,” he teased.

You better believe we’ll be watching every juicy moment from the passenger seat!
